Mark Hopkins International Hotel California and Mason Streets, Nob Hill
This luxury hotel is located at the top of Nob Hill, west of the Financial District. It was completed in 1926, on the former site of a mansion that belonged to railroad baron Mark Hopkins, which had been demolished in the 1906 earthquake. It was designated a California Historical Landmark in 1961.
